Since 1999, Cyrille Piguet has been a partner in the Lausanne office of Bonnard Lawson, where he provides legal advice and litigation mostly in business law, estate planning and art law.

With a Ph.D. in federal civil procedure honoured by the Bipper Price, Cyrille heads the litigation team at the Lausanne office. His more than 20-year of experience in litigation before State Courts as well as before Arbitration Courts means that Cyrille has the practical expertise to assist clients to resolve their conflicts before and during legal proceedings, in particular in the field of estate planning.

Thanks to Cyrille’s experience and Bonnard Lawson’s extensive network, combined with the skills of the firm’s tax lawyers, we are able to ensure tailor-made assistance to our clients on a domestic and international basis. Cyrille is a Certified Specialist in SBA Inheritance Law and is thus entitled to act (and does frequently act) as a testamentary executor, estate administrator and representative of communities of heirs. He conducts many proceedings in relation to estate planning, including those with wider-reaching international implications.

Cyrille is also competent in contract law and art law. His knowledge in this area has allowed him to actively participate, from its inception, in the Master of Business Law and Tax Law Course of the Art Market at the Jean Moulin University in Lyon. Cyrille is often consulted by patrons of the Art Market (including artists, collectors, galleries, museums, foundations, traders, auction houses, banks and insurance companies), in Switzerland and abroad, as legal adviser and in relation to litigation matters. Cyrille is also a member of several boards of Swiss foundations active in the field of art and culture.

Furthermore, Cyrille is highly experienced in negotiating and drafting contracts under Swiss law as well as international business law (including distribution, licensing, employment, agency and sales) for large Swiss and international corporations. He has been and still is a member of boards of directors for Swiss and foreign companies (including media, distribution, energy, real estate, hotel and services).

Cyrille mostly deals with business litigation, employment law and estate planning before all civil courts including the Swiss Supreme Court. He has also taken part in several arbitration proceedings (including ICC, CAS and ad hoc) as counsel or as arbitrator, in Switzerland and abroad.
