Dear clients and friends of the firm,

We are very happy to inform you that on 14 June 2015, the Swiss voters refused to introduce a federal gift and inheritance tax by a clear majority of 71%.

This is a very good news in particular as it follows the positive vote of November 2014 maintaining the lump sum tax system (“forfait”).

Please find see our newsletter for further information.

If you have any questions about this referendum or about Swiss taxation in general, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,
